Rainwater Tank Pumps are also known as Pressure Pumps and are used to move water from one place to another using pressure. The most common use is for tranfering water from the rainwater tank to the house. The SGJ900 and SGJC800 (the first two pumps on this page) can be used with the Automatic Pump Control. The pump control will automatically switch the the pump off in the absence of water, so the pump won't burn out. |

By using a small submersible bore pump with a pressure switch, you can have a super quiet, super reliable rain water tank pump. A submersible bore pump is much more reliable than a regular pressure pump. The submersible cable from the pump is wired into the Control Switch. From the Control Switch it is wired into the Pressure Switch. From the Pressure Switch it plugs into a 240V electrical outlet. An example below:
