Using a Submersible Bore Pump direct from bore to the house / garden (Not pumping to tank) |

The diagram below show how you can set up a bore pump to feed on demand directly from the bore to the house or garden without using a storage tank to hold the water. With the set up below, you use a pressure switch which has 'Water Dry' protection which will turn the system off if there is not enough water in the bore. This protects the bore pump from burning out caused by lack of water. When you turn a tap on, the system turns on and water flows. When the tap is turned off, the system shuts down. Approx 30 starts an hour is all it can safely handle. |

It is a good idea to have the pressure switch close to the house because you will need to press the 'Reset' button on the pressure switch to restart the pump if it has turned of due to lack of water. It will only turn on when there is enough water in the bore.
